The challenge

Our challenge was to deliver a high quality, reliable GovCMS SaaS website that would stand up to unparalleled attention from the general public, media, and government agencies. We delivered a government website that had a contemporary ‘non-government’ look, designed to appeal to every Australian and was backed by research and usability testing.

A contemporary, informative design

We delivered a website design which positioned the My Health Record website, the ADHA, and more broadly the Federal government for success. The design aesthetic is contemporary, engaging, and uncomplicated - giving all Australians the ability to make an informed choice.

Responsive to change and development

Our communicative, responsive approach meant we adapted quickly to the client’s needs as they developed. This gave the ADHA the support they needed to continually evolve and improve the website. Despite changes occurring throughout the project, we met our production deadlines throughout, from initial concept to final delivery.

Project highlights

We delivered on the primary focus which was easy information delivery, understood by all Australians.

  • Using inclusive and modern website design principles to provide accessibility to all.
  • Robust development practices that held strong under concurrent access by millions.
  • Trusted to safely and quickly deliver the website for a key Federal policy.

Supporting the nation’s gaze

Millions of Australian visited the My Health Record website in the weeks following delivery and our website held strong. We believe it was one the highest trafficked GovCMS websites during peak periods, and never faltered under the load. This reliability and strength reflected well on the ADHA, positioning the agency and their work favourably to the public.

Security and availability were never a concern

The high profile, public role of the website made it attractive to negative attention but we mitigated this risk by engaging independent parties to pass it through both load and penetration testing, which resulted in a secure, safe product.

Result

We delivered a robust and reliable website for the ADHA and My Health Record, helping millions of Australians make informed choices about their digital health records. The website launched on time, it was stable and reliable, looks fantastic, and the strong performance of the website ensured public comment remained focused on policy.
