Oxide Interactive

About Us

Oxide Interactive was founded in 2003 by Alexi Paschalidis and Peter Edmunds. We have built a business by doing the web right - keeping up with better practices and emergent technology. By becoming Web Standards advocates, we continue to further our knowledge in an industry that advances every day.

We have found it benefits our clients to deal with people directly involved with production - clearly communicating what's necessary in terms you understand.

Peter Edmunds

Peter graduated from the University of Canberra in 2005 with first class honours and a University Medal in Communications. He is currently completing an MPhil program part time at the Australian National University.

SwarmSketch, his honours project, received an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica 2006 and has been exhibited at the International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture (Barcelona), the 2006 Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (Venice) and ParticipART 2006 (Trento, Italy). Peter also gave a presentation at ParticipART 2006.

In 2007 he prepared and presented a semester long lecture series on web design at the University of Canberra.

His work has been featured in the New York Times, Sky Lounge 2004, and displayed in galleries in Germany and the USA.

Alexi Paschalidis

Alexi has been creating websites since 1997 - landing his first industry job in 2000. In 2003, he graduated with a Multimedia degree from the University of Canberra.

When he sees good design (with users in mind) it makes him feel warm and fuzzy. He's actively involved in the Web Standards community and presented at the Canberra Web Standards Group, 18 January 2007.
